About Us Greene Metal Products has been in business since March 5, 1975 serving the needs of the United States defense industry. As a metal fabricating business our products range from small simple brackets to a mobile bridge segment mounted on an M48/M60 tank base. In between are a variety of products such as seat assemblies, fuel tanks, ammunition cans, grilles and fenders. Our major customers are Defense procurement centers located in Philadelphia, Columbus and Richmond as well as tier one suppliers to the government such as General Dynamics Land Systems and BAE North American Land Systems. The variety of products manufactured requires a knowledgeable and skilled workforce. Each of our managers in Production, Quality and Assembly have over 20 years with Greene Metal Products. All of our welders are hired with the necessary experience and skills required to either have or obtain the necessary government welding qualifications in order to fulfill all contractual requirements. Many of our CNC operators are developed internally and generally drawn from the best qualified employees in our assembly/packaging workforce. A promotion from within philosophy coupled with hiring certain skills from the outside when needed has resulted in a very skilled workforce. The owners of Greene Metal have always believed that a successful Company must invest in both its employees and the equipment used by those employees. Our wage and benefit package is competitive and voluntary turnover is low. The Company has made a commitment to upgrade its equipment and has spent several million dollars on equipment over the last three years. As a small business this was a considerable investment. The commitment to both employees and equipment has resulted in improved efficiency as well as our maintaining a two year Government quality rating of 99.7%. Greene Metal was awarded a major government contract for Paladin/FAASV kits which resulted in the need for more space and additional employees. Aside from the equipment purchases noted above, a new building was acquired for assembly, packaging and storage. Our employee count has gone from 47 to 114 in the last four years. In summary, Greene Metal Products is a small business which has grown over the years by investing in its people, its equipment and its facilities. This investment has resulted in an excellent working relationship with our customers, a sustained sales growth and the creation of additional jobs benefiting the local community. Locations
